Multiple explosions occur on France's Corsica Island
It has been reported that explosions occurred in different cities on France's Corsica Island.
According to a report by the newspaper Corse Matin, explosions occurred overnight in the Corsican cities of Vico, Tavaco, Alata, and Bastelicaccia.
The first explosion took place around 22:30 local time. Firefighting teams were dispatched to the locations of the explosions in various cities on the island.
A villa in the city of Alata was damaged in an explosion, and a bomb disposal unit was sent to the area.
At least 6 explosions occurred in the Haute-Corse department.
GAS CYLINDER FOUND
In the city of Brando within this department, 4 explosions occurred in an area containing 14 residences, and the residents were evacuated. Bomb disposal teams found a gas cylinder at the scene.
Explosions also occurred at a villa under construction in the city of Lucciana and in the city of Santa Reparata di Balagna.
It was not stated whether there were any injuries in the explosions.
