Muslim World League condemns Iran: 'Unacceptable'

The MWL described Iran's attacks on Saudi Arabia and several Arab countries as an "unacceptable escalation."

The statement included the following remarks:

“In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, condemned this blatant Iranian aggression, which violates all religious values, as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms.

This comes especially in light of the clear and firm stance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the attacks on Iran, and its sincere and diligent efforts to save the Iranian people and the region from dangers.

On behalf of the MWL’s councils, bodies, global assemblies, and all Muslim peoples under its umbrella, His Excellency reiterated full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its people, and prayed to Almighty Allah to protect the Kingdom, its lands, its leadership, and its people from all harm and distress.”

US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

While the negotiation process between Iran and the US was ongoing, Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran in the morning hours.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that Israel had launched a "preemptive strike" on Iran. US President Donald Trump also announced that they had launched a "major operation" against Iran.

Within the scope of the attacks, various points in 24 provinces were targeted, primarily the capital Tehran, as well as Isfahan, Karaj, Qom, Tabriz, Bushehr, and Kermanshah.

The Iranian Red Crescent reported that 201 people have lost their lives and 747 people have been injured in the attacks so far.

The Iranian military announced that it had launched counter-attacks against Israel with ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles in response to the US and Israeli strikes.

The Iranian military also carried out attacks with missiles and kamikaze drones against US bases and targets in countries such as Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan.
