Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that they will continue to arm Israelis, a policy that has been accelerated since October 7.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement on his social media accounts regarding the armed attack in West Jerusalem that left 3 people dead.
Stating that those who carried out the attack in West Jerusalem "were neutralized by 2 Israeli soldiers and 1 civilian," Netanyahu said, "The government under my leadership will continue to expand the distribution of weapons to citizens."
In the armed attack that took place this morning in West Jerusalem, 3 Israelis were killed and 3 others were seriously injured.
Police had announced that the 2 Palestinians from occupied East Jerusalem, who were said to have carried out the attack, were killed by two off-duty soldiers and an armed civilian.
Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, known for his campaign to arm civilians in Israel and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank, had also announced at the scene in West Jerusalem where three Israelis were killed that they would continue to distribute weapons to Israelis despite criticisms.
The Netanyahu government had launched a campaign to arm civilians in the country after October 7.
