Netanyahu: Iran's nuclear facilities must be blown up
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said regarding Iran's nuclear facilities, "We must blow up the facilities and dismantle all the equipment under US supervision. This is a good solution. Otherwise, the military option is on the table."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a video message he released, argued that any agreement to be made between the US and Iran would only work if Iran's nuclear facilities were destroyed. Netanyahu stated that he and Trump have agreed that "Iran will never possess nuclear weapons."
However, emphasizing that a process similar to Libya's nuclear disarmament in 2003 is necessary to achieve this goal through diplomacy, Netanyahu said, "We must blow up the facilities and dismantle all the equipment under US supervision. This is a good solution. Otherwise, the military option is on the table." Netanyahu stated that they discussed this possibility at length with Trump.
Touching upon developments in Syria, Netanyahu claimed that Turkey wants to establish military bases in Syria and that this "poses a danger to Israel," adding, "We oppose this and are working to prevent it. I also told my friend Trump, 'We will ask for your help if necessary.'"
Describing his US visit as "very good and sincere," Netanyahu announced that more details regarding the visit would be shared in the coming days.
