Netanyahu planted a listening device in the British Prime Minister's bathroom: Boris Johnson reveals
Johnson has made a controversial claim regarding Netanyahu. According to the former British Prime Minister, Netanyahu planted a listening device in his bathroom during his time in office.
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu planted a listening device in the Foreign Office's bathroom during a visit in 2017. According to the claim, after Netanyahu used the bathroom, the British secret service found a 'bug' in the room.
Johnson stated that after Netanyahu used the bathroom located in the 'secret annex,' his security team conducted a sweep and discovered the listening device.
According to a report by the British newspaper The Telegraph, Johnson, who was serving as Foreign Secretary in 2017, recounted that Netanyahu asked to use the bathroom during their meeting at his office in the Ministry.
According to the newspaper's report, Johnson wrote in his memoir titled 'Unleashed,' which will be published on October 10, 'Bibi (Netanyahu) went in there for a while. It may or may not be a coincidence, but I was told later that when they did the bug sweep, they found a listening device in the loo.'
When asked if he could provide further details regarding this claim, Johnson said, 'I think everything you need to know about that episode is in the book.'
Former Prime Minister Johnson's book 'Unleashed,' which includes his memoirs regarding Brexit, his government's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the party scandal during his time as prime minister, will be published on October 10.
