Netanyahu reported to have convened security cabinet
It has been reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene his security cabinet to discuss developments in Lebanon and Syria, where the Israeli army maintains occupation in southern regions. It was noted that the meeting will also address US President Donald Trump's remarks suggesting that Syria "could intervene in Lebanon."
According to a report by The Jerusalem Post, the meeting between Netanyahu and the political and military members of his security cabinet is scheduled to begin at 18:30 local time this evening.
It was noted that in addition to developments in Syria and Lebanon, the meeting will also address US President Donald Trump's remarks suggesting that Syria "could intervene in Lebanon."

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz had stated that they would continue to remain in the regions they occupy in Syria and southern Lebanon, claiming, "Even if there is a request from the US, the army will not withdraw from southern Lebanon."
US President Donald Trump had alleged that Israel was failing in its fight against Hezbollah in Lebanon, bringing up the name of Syrian President Ahmed Shara and making statements suggesting that "Syria could intervene in Lebanon."
