Netanyahu's message on Trump: The greatest friend we have in the White House
In an interview with Fox News, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that he and Trump share a common goal regarding Iran.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made notable remarks regarding US President Donald Trump in an interview with the US-based network Fox News. Netanyahu referred to Trump as "the greatest friend we have in the White House."
When asked if he had any disagreements with Trump regarding Iran, Netanyahu responded by noting that the priorities of the two countries may differ from time to time. The Israeli Prime Minister said, "He does what is good for America. I am the leader of Israel, the only Jewish state. I do what is good for Israel."

Arguing that Washington and Tel Aviv are on the same page on most issues, Netanyahu stated, "We agree 99 percent of the time. But as in every family, in every close friendship, sometimes there are disagreements, and we debate them openly, with a free spirit, and we usually resolve them."
MESSAGE ON IRAN: WE HAVE A COMMON GOAL
Netanyahu, who is reported to be potentially traveling to the US to meet with Trump, said they share a common goal regarding Iran not possessing nuclear weapons. When asked for his assessment of the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, Netanyahu stated that the process has not yet been completed.

Netanyahu said, "I think it's not over yet. When it's over, I will evaluate it. But as I said, I think the most important thing is that we have a common goal. This means that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons or the capacity to make nuclear weapons."
Touching upon the ongoing funeral ceremonies in Iran for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was reported to have been killed in US-Israeli strikes, Netanyahu reacted to the slogans chanted at the ceremony. Netanyahu stated, "They didn't just shout 'Death to America,' they said 'Kill Trump.' They shouted 'Death to Trump.' You won't hear that in Israel. Israel is the best ally of the US."

Speaking about his relationship with US Vice President James David Vance, Netanyahu said he respects Vance and that they have a good relationship. However, Netanyahu reiterated his praise for Trump, noting that this does not mean he agrees with every word Vance says: "Donald Trump is the greatest friend we have in the White House."
