Netanyahu sends message from Gaza: Threat to expand occupied areas

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled that the occupation could be expanded in a video message released from an area in Gaza under the control of the Israeli army.

In the video shared on his account on the US-based platform X, Netanyahu stated that he was in Gaza alongside Israeli Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir and other commanders. Noting that the Israeli army is present in 60 percent of the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu used the phrase "more is on the way."

The Israeli Prime Minister argued that they would not withdraw, despite the condition in US President Donald Trump's plan for the Israeli army to gradually withdraw from the occupied territories.

Netanyahu also claimed that they would ensure the disarmament of Hamas. Stating that they have largely achieved their goals, Netanyahu nevertheless sent the message that "their work is not finished."

As the elections planned for October 27 in Israel approach, it is noteworthy that Netanyahu, who is reported to have declined in public opinion polls, has hardened his rhetoric in recent times.
