Netanyahu's statement on Nasrallah: 'It was an essential condition for achieving our set goals'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke for the first time following the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Stating that they had settled accounts with a "murderer" responsible for the deaths of countless Israelis and numerous American and French citizens, Netanyahu remarked, "He was the main engine of Iran's axis of evil."

Describing Nasrallah and his aides as the "architects of the plan to destroy Israel," Netanyahu said, "He was not only activated by Iran. In many cases, he activated Iran. Killing Nasrallah was an essential condition for achieving the goals we have set."

"WE WILL FACE SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES IN THE COMING DAYS"

Noting that he realized at the beginning of the week that the heavy attacks carried out by the Israeli army would not be enough, Netanyahu said, "As long as Nasrallah was alive, he could have quickly rehabilitated Hezbollah's capabilities. So I gave the order, and Nasrallah is no longer with us."

Regarding the killing of Nasrallah, Netanyahu stated, "It was a step that will advance not only the return of the residents of the north to their homes but also the return of our hostages in the south, and it will change the balance of power in the region for years to come."

Saying that despite the successes they have achieved, their work is not finished, Netanyahu added, "We will face significant challenges in the coming days, and we will overcome them."

NETANYAHU'S THREAT TO IRAN

Sending threatening messages to Iran as well, Netanyahu said, "Those who attack us, we will attack. There is no place in Iran or the Middle East that Israel's long arm cannot reach, and today you know how true that is. A year ago, our enemies attacked us and thought Israel was on the path to destruction. A year later, attack after attack, success after success, they have realized how their hopes have been dashed."

Stating that Israel is on the rise, Netanyahu said, "We are determined to ensure that Israel is winning, to ensure the return of those living in the north, and to bring the hostages home. We will not forget them for even a second."
