Netanyahu's first statement following Haniyeh assassination: 'Difficult days ahead'

Stating that Israel has dealt a "crushing blow" to Iran, Netanyahu expressed that any attack on his country from any direction would come at a heavy price.

Stating that the country is prepared for all scenarios, Netanyahu noted that "difficult days await Israel."

Netanyahu's statements are as follows:

"Difficult days await Israeli citizens. Since the attack in Beirut, threats have been rising from every direction.

We are prepared for any scenario and will stand united and determined against any threat.

We will exact a heavy price for any aggression against us from any location."

ASSASSINATION TOOK PLACE IN TEHRAN

Israel had carried out an attack targeting Hezbollah, whom it held responsible following an attack in the occupied Golan Heights where a group of young people were killed.

In the attack carried out in the Lebanese capital, one of Hezbollah's key figures, Fuad Shukr, was killed.

Israel later carried out an assassination targeting Hamas leader Haniyeh. This assassination took place in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
