New files released in the Epstein case

A 3rd batch of new files has been released regarding the case of American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being held in the US on charges of creating a sexual abuse, pedophilia, and prostitution network targeting underage girls.

The newly released documents follow hundreds of pages shared with the public on Wednesday and Thursday.

The newly released documents in the Epstein case include the names of some witnesses, excerpts from witness testimonies, various correspondence between opposing lawyers, approximately 50 pages of handwritten telephone messages from Epstein's message book, and court records regarding discovery and other procedural stages related to the case.

While most of the individuals connected to Epstein in various ways in the documents are not accused of any crime, more details about them are revealed.

The documents expected to be released in the coming days regarding the Epstein case are estimated to contain approximately 200 names, including the country's prominent businesspeople, politicians, and well-known figures.

Who is in the Epstein case files?

The documents in the Epstein case had begun to be made accessible to the public in 2 separate parts, with the first part the day before yesterday and the 2nd part yesterday.

The case files released so far have included famous names such as Prince Andrew, former US presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former US Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.

Although the names of Clinton and Trump were included in the files, no charges were brought against the former presidents. In the files released yesterday, it was brought up that Bill Clinton liked young women, and it was also alleged that Epstein contacted Trump before going to his venues in New Jersey.

In one of the testimonies in the files, referring to Virginia Giuffre, the main plaintiff against Epstein, there was an allegation that Bill Clinton threatened Vanıty Fair magazine "not to publish an article about Epstein creating a prostitution network."

In the same file, plaintiff Giuffre also alleged that Clinton was aware in detail of the prostitution network run by Epstein and had traveled with him many times.

Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in prison

Jeffrey Epstein, who was on trial on charges of sexually abusing dozens of underage girls, the youngest being 14, and creating a prostitution network, was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, where he was being held, on August 10, 2019.

Epstein's girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, was found guilty in a trial where she was accused of assisting Epstein's illegal activities in organizing the luring of underage girls into a prostitution trap for some wealthy individuals, celebrities, and government officials.

On the other hand, Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's victims, filed a lawsuit in New York in 2021, alleging that Prince Andrew abused her in New York and London when she was 17 years old. Giuffre claimed that the Prince sexually abused her without her consent, even though he knew she was a minor.???
