New Israeli attack on Gaza

The Israeli press stated that the Israeli army has decided to expand the territory it controls in the Gaza Strip and that it has discussed this decision with the US.

In a statement made by the Prime Minister's Office, it was said, "Following security consultations, Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered the army to carry out immediate, powerful strikes on the Gaza Strip."

The meeting in question was held after Israel accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz claimed that Hamas attacked Israeli soldiers in Rafah and argued that the group violated the agreement under which it was supposed to return the bodies of hostages, stating that they would pay a "heavy price."

Katz stated, "Hamas's attack on Israeli soldiers in Gaza today is the crossing of a clear red line to which the army will respond with great force."
