New regulation for Middle East flights: Additional rights for passengers from airlines
Due to rising tensions between Israel and Iran, Turkish Airlines, AJet, and Pegasus have extended the duration of rights granted to passengers on flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon until June 30.
Following recent developments in the Middle East, Turkish Airlines (THY), AJet, and Pegasus have suspended their flights in the region until further notice following Israel's attack on Iran.
The companies announced that additional rights have been defined for passengers who have purchased tickets to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon.

DURATION OF RIGHTS EXTENDED TO PREVENT PASSENGER GRIEVANCES
Passengers who purchased tickets to travel to these countries between June 13 and June 30, 2025, will be able to perform reservation changes, ticket refunds, or ticket extensions free of charge until June 30, 2025. In the statement made by the airline companies, it was stated that these rights were implemented to ensure that passengers do not suffer any grievances.
While the airspaces of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon have been closed to flights due to the conflicts in the region, the airline companies reported that they are closely monitoring the developments and will continue to inform passengers.

The clashes between Israel and Iran that began on the night of June 13 are continuing for the fifth day. The tension, which started with Israel's attack on Iran, escalated further with Iran's retaliation. These developments between the two countries have also negatively affected air traffic in the region.
