New threat from Trump to Iran: 'We could wipe them out in two days'

US President Trump made remarkable statements regarding Iran on the Fox News channel, which he joined following his visit to China. Trump emphasized that the Tehran administration is showing resistance and that he is not taking this lightly; however, he argued that the US has the capacity to inflict massive damage on Iran if it chooses to.

President Trump stated: “We could wipe everything out in two days.” He also suggested that Iran's infrastructure has not been damaged so far, but that this option is always on the table.

Touching upon the trust issues in diplomatic talks with Iran, Trump said, “They were going to give us everything we wanted, but every time we make a deal, the next day they act as if we never had that conversation. This has probably happened five times. There is a problem with them.”

Stating that a possible solution could be achieved through either path, Trump said, “It will either be violent or non-violent, I would prefer the non-violent one.”

When asked about the Congressional elections to be held in November, he replied: “I will not let the elections decide what will happen regarding Iran.” President Trump reiterated that they would absolutely not allow Tehran to possess nuclear weapons.
