New visa decision from Russia: Duration extended
Russia has announced that the duration of stay for foreigners entering the country with an e-Visa has been increased from 16 to 30 days.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the duration of stay for foreign nationals entering Russia with an electronic visa (e-Visa) has been increased from 16 to 30 days.
Mishustin made statements regarding the e-Visa system during a meeting with the government in the capital, Moscow.
Stating that citizens of 64 countries have been able to visit Russia with an e-Visa for two years, Mishustin noted that more than a million people have benefited from the e-Visa during this period. Mishustin said, "Changes will be made to the legislation regarding the extension of the stay duration with an e-Visa. This period will be 30 days instead of 16 days."
Sharing the information that the validity period of the e-Visa will be 120 days instead of 60, Mishustin said this would allow foreign nationals to travel more within Russia.
