New wave of US military strikes against Iran
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced the launch of a new wave of strikes as part of its ongoing operations against Iran.
The US continues its strikes against Iran.
In a statement released by the United States Central Command, it was stated, "CENTCOM has launched a new wave of strikes on the 7th night of operations against Iran.
The strikes are intended to continue weakening Iran's military capabilities in accordance with the Commander-in-Chief's (US President Donald Trump) directives."
AT LEAST THREE EXPLOSIONS HEARD
Following the US military's announcement of a new wave of strikes against Iran, reports emerged of explosion sounds being heard in various parts of Iran.
According to reports from the Iran-based Mehr News Agency, sounds of explosions were heard in the city of Bushehr and in the cities of Qeshm and Sirik in Hormozgan province.
Sources reported that at least three explosion sounds were heard from the Bamani region in Sirik.
There has been no official statement yet regarding whether there were any casualties or injuries in the strikes.
