North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un orders suicide drone production: 'Produce more'
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un attended a performance test of domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ordered the production of more suicide drones of various types.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un inspected the Drone Institute of the Academy of Defense Sciences and received information from officials regarding the domestically produced UAVs.
According to official sources, Kim, who observed the performance test of the attack drones, expressed his satisfaction with the tactical and technical specifications of the drones.
In his speech at the institute, Kim pointed out that the role of various types of drones in warfare is increasingly growing, and emphasized that the Korean People's Army (KPA) units must be equipped with state-of-the-art UAVs as soon as possible.
In this context, Kim gave instructions to accelerate drone development and production efforts, stating, "In addition to more suicide drones of various types for use in tactical infantry and special operations units, strategic reconnaissance and multi-purpose attack drones must be developed and produced."
Furthermore, noting that the development of underwater attack drones is important, Kim underscored that artificial intelligence technologies must be integrated into drone technologies.
