North Korean leader Kim Jong-un observed a drill by artillery units using nuclear-capable multiple rocket launchers. Kim stated that in the event of a war on the Korean Peninsula, they possess the military power to 'destroy Seoul.'

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) shared images of at least 6 rockets fired during the drill overseen by Kim.
Kim stated that the nuclear-capable multiple rocket launchers used during the drill would increase the "combat capability" of the artillery units.
Stating that they possess the military power to "destroy Seoul" in the event of a war on the Korean Peninsula, Kim warned that such a war would "lead to disastrous results for the enemies" of North Korea.
On the other hand, a statement from the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff noted that North Korea had conducted more launches than those shown in the photographs.
