Nostradamus's prophecies for the year 2024

The famous French seer and astrologer Nostradamus predicted many historical events in his 16th-century works, from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima to the rise of Adolf Hitler.

His works, written in the form of cryptic poems, are constantly open to reinterpretation in line with historical events.

Because of this, experts continue to carefully interpret his works every year to evaluate the "accuracy" of his predictions.

Here are some of those prophecies thought to belong to the year 2024:

A NAVAL WAR THAT WILL ALSO INVOLVE NATO

In his book Les Propheties, a passage recorded under the title "War and naval battle" says: "The red adversary will become pale with fear / Putting the great Ocean in dread..."

While some commentators see this as an inevitable reference to China and a possible conflict at sea, Sky History interprets it as a large-scale naval war that could also involve NATO. 

Considering that China is thought to possess the world's largest navy, these lines become more meaningful.

A STRIKING PREDICTION ABOUT ENGLAND

King Charles has only been at the head of the British monarchy for a few months, but according to Nostradamus, his throne is already at risk. In his verses, the Seer says that he will experience a "contentious divorce" and that the person he describes as the "King of the Islands" will eventually be "driven out by force." 

Furthermore, he predicts that "the reign will be usurped by someone who does not have the royal mark."

Mario Reading, one of the best-selling Nostradamus commentators, suggested in a book published in 2006 that Harry, who has no royal mark, would take the crown in place of his brother William, the current heir. 

CLIMATE DISASTER

Nostradamus fans claim that this elderly seer who lived in the 16th century foresaw all of this centuries ago and warned that things would get worse regarding the climate crisis.

In one of his verses, Nostradamus predicts that "the dry land will become more parched" and that there will be "great floods." 

He also predicts that "a great famine will come through a pestilent wave," which some interpret as "a tsunami that will hit agriculture and lead to starvation." 

POPE PROPHECY

Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church, is 86 years old and has recently been experiencing a series of health problems. For this reason, it is thought that the Catholic Church may soon need to look for a new leader.

Nostradamus says, "Through the death of the very old Pope / A young Roman will be elected," and continues: "[The young Pope] will weaken the Church's view and will serve as Pope for a long time..."

A NEW WORLD POWER

Nostradamus predicts that a country from the class of developing economies will rise in a way that will significantly change global political balances.

DECENTRALIZED DIGITAL CURRENCY 

The seer believes in a shift in financial paradigms and the emergence of a new form of wealth. This finding is interpreted as digital currencies.

FIRST CONTACT WITH ALIENS

He predicts that humanity will make contact with an extraterrestrial civilization that is monitoring Earth's orbit.

A GREAT EARTHQUAKE

He predicts that a city famous for its luxury and splendor will be shaken by an unprecedented earthquake.

A DEVASTATING COSMIC STORM

He predicts that a powerful cosmic storm that will hit Earth will cause major disruptions and extreme weather conditions. This prediction is interpreted as solar flares.

COMMUNICATION MODELS WILL CHANGE

The famous seer also claims in his book that communication models will change and that there will be a transition toward a form of telepathic communication.
