Notable law approval from Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law allowing foreigners or non-Ukrainian citizens to serve in officer positions in the military.
In a written statement on the official website of the Ukrainian Parliament, it was stated that President Zelenskyy signed a law regarding the service of foreign nationals or non-Ukrainian citizens in the Ukrainian army.
On October 10, the Parliament passed a bill amending certain laws regarding the procedure for contract military service for foreigners or non-Ukrainian citizens in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Special Transport Service, and the National Guard of Ukraine.
REACTION FROM RUSSIA
On the other hand, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova, in her reaction to Zelenskyy's decision, stated, "Thus, foreign commanders will more actively finish the job of Ukrainians. Otherwise, a Ukrainian would not have the heart to send another Ukrainian to their death. Zelenskyy is not being paid for that."
