Nvidia CEO unveils new supercomputer: 'Everyone can now be a programmer'

Nvidia CEO Huang made notable remarks at the Computex forum in Taiwan. Introducing a new AI supercomputer platform called DGX GH200 at the forum, Huang claimed that 'it is now possible for everyone to be a programmer.'

According to Huang, artificial intelligence will now be able to both create new applications and improve existing ones. Furthermore, the Nvidia CEO stated that everyone can now 'become a programmer by talking to the computer and achieve the results they want.'

According to Huang's claim, it will no longer be necessary to write lines of code, although current AI tools may still make 'comma errors,' and this will be the only issue users will need to deal with.

Huang's claims are based on Nvidia's newly developed DGX GH200. The DGX GH200, a supercomputer based on generative AI models, is, according to Huang, a harbinger of a new era.

Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence technology that can 'generate' various types of content, including text, images, audio, and synthetic data.

Regarding the new supercomputer, Huang stated, “This computer doesn't care how you program it. Instead, it tries to understand what you mean using incredibly advanced language models. This will make the barrier to programming incredibly low.”  

Huang also added, “We have closed the digital divide; everyone can now be a programmer. It will be enough to just say things to the computer.”

Explaining that artificial intelligence could even enable architects to easily create three-dimensional models from two-dimensional ones, Huang said, “In every computer era, you could do different things that were not possible before,” and added that “artificial intelligence definitely possesses these qualities.”

Drawing attention to the transformation in AI technology, the Nvidia CEO stated that artificial intelligence can now understand information beyond just numbers and text. Huang emphasized that AI has grasped 'multimodality,' and for this reason, it will change entire industries.
