OpenAI partners with defense company Anduril
U.S. defense technology company Anduril has announced a strategic partnership with artificial intelligence firm OpenAI to develop advanced AI solutions for national security missions.
In a statement released by Anduril, it was reported that the company will partner with OpenAI to advance U.S. leadership in artificial intelligence and to protect the U.S. and its allied forces.
The statement noted that the two companies will form a strategic partnership to develop and responsibly deploy advanced AI solutions for national security missions.
The statement further indicated that OpenAI's advanced models will be integrated with Anduril's high-performance defense systems and its Lattice software platform, with the partnership aiming to improve defense systems that protect U.S. and allied military personnel against attacks from drones and other aerial devices.
The statement added that the strategic partnership between Anduril and OpenAI will focus on enhancing the country's counter-drone systems and its capabilities to detect, assess, and respond to potentially lethal aerial threats in real time.
