OpenAI CEO Sam Altman gave a quick response to the offer. Altman emphasized that they were not interested in the offer from Musk, who wanted to buy X for 44 billion dollars in 2022.

WHY COULDN'T SAM ALTMAN AND ELON MUSK AGREE?

OpenAI began operations in 2015 as an artificial intelligence research laboratory, with names such as Elon Musk and Sam Altman among its founders. Musk left the board of directors in 2018. In 2023, the OpenAI board of directors dismissed Sam Altman. However, Altman returned to the company shortly after. The company announced that it planned to change its structure that same year.

Musk demanded that OpenAI's transformation into a for-profit structure be stopped. Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers decided that the case should continue.
