Operation against Satanists: 260 people arrested
It has been announced that a 'Satanist' network has been dismantled in Iran, with 260 suspects, including 3 European nationals, arrested.
According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency, Iranian security forces arrested more than 260 people, including three European citizens, at a 'Satanist' gathering held west of the capital, Tehran.
"Satanist network dismantled in Tehran, three European citizens arrested," wrote Tasnim, reporting that those detained consisted of 146 men and 115 women.
According to the report, alcohol and psychedelic drugs, which are prohibited under Iranian law, were seized at the meeting.
The nationalities of the arrested Europeans were not specified.
