Pakistan emphasizes mediation for Turkey: Their views should be heard

Responding to an AA correspondent's question regarding the guarantor mechanism proposed by Turkey for lasting peace in the Israel-Palestine issue, the ministry stated, "Pakistan welcomes all initiatives that can contribute to our ultimate goal of achieving an immediate ceasefire, lifting the siege, and providing humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza."

"PEACE PROCESS SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT"

Beluç pointed out that they hope for a consensus that will contribute to the desired peace outcome, stating, "The initiatives of Turkey and other countries aimed at peace should be discussed and taken into account."

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had announced that they proposed a system for lasting peace in the Israel-Palestine issue where the parties would have guarantors. Stating that Turkey could be a guarantor for Palestine and other countries for Israel, Fidan had declared, "Once an agreement is reached that both sides agree upon, guarantor countries should assume responsibility for ensuring its requirements are met."
