Pakistan Interior Minister Naqvi in Tehran for the fourth time following clashes
Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was welcomed by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni in Tehran, the capital of Iran, where he is on an official visit to hold talks with high-level Iranian officials. This visit marks Naqvi's fourth trip to Tehran since the Iran-US clashes began on February 28.
Despite the fragile ceasefire in effect between the US and Iran, Pakistan has intensified its mediation role in the process aimed at reaching a potential peace agreement following the recent tensions between the parties. In this context, Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid an official visit to Tehran, the capital of Iran, to hold meetings with Iranian officials.
Naqvi was welcomed in Tehran by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Pakistan's Ambassador to Tehran, Imran Siddiqui.
Naqvi is expected to hold high-level contacts
During the visit, Naqvi is expected to meet with senior Iranian officials to convey messages from Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir regarding the negotiation process between the US and Iran.
This visit by Naqvi marks his fourth trip to the Iranian capital since the clashes between the US, Israel, and Iran began on February 28.
