Statement from Palestine on ceasefire: Preparations are complete

In a statement issued by the Palestinian Presidency regarding the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement in the Gaza Strip, which is expected to come into effect on January 19, it was stated: "In line with President Abbas's directives, the Palestinian government has completed all preparations to assume full responsibility in Gaza, including the return of displaced persons, the provision of basic services, the management of crossings, and the reconstruction of the war-torn region."
HOSTAGES TO BEGIN BEING RELEASED ON SUNDAY
The Israeli Security Cabinet had recommended that the government approve the proposed agreement.
In a statement made earlier today by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, it was noted that if the Israeli government and the security cabinet approve the ceasefire agreement, the process will be carried out as planned and the release of hostages will begin early Sunday.
Following the meeting of the Israeli security cabinet to discuss the agreement, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated, "After examining the diplomatic, security, and humanitarian dimensions, and with the understanding that the agreement supports the achievement of the war's objectives, the Ministerial Committee on National Security Affairs (Security Cabinet) recommended that the government approve the proposed agreement." Israeli media had reported that the cabinet would meet at 16:30 Turkish time.
