'Palestine' flag unfurled before Kosovo-Israel match
Before the match between the national teams of Kosovo and Israel in Kosovo's capital, Pristina, a Palestinian flag with the words "Free Palestine" was unfurled in the city center.
The non-governmental organization (NGO) known as the Feminist Thought and Action Collective announced the action they carried out through a post on their social media account.
In the NGO's post, it was stated that the Palestinian flag was unfurled next to a flag reading "Free Ukraine" and was removed shortly thereafter.
''WE MAINTAIN OUR DETERMINATION''
The post continued, "We maintain our unity and determination to oppose and fight against all forms of occupation and colonization of peoples, as well as racism. However, the Palestinian flag was removed immediately after it was unfurled. We interpret this action as a silent initiative by the state of Kosovo and a disturbing stance that supports the genocidal war waged by the state of Israel against the Palestinian people."
