Palestine's first statement following ICC's Netanyahu decision

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement regarding the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

The statement emphasized that Palestine "welcomes" the ICC's decisions, stating, "The ICC's decisions have restored not only trust in international law alongside UN institutions, but also hope and confidence in the importance of justice, accountability, and the prosecution of war criminals, especially at a time when the Palestinian people are still being subjected to genocide."

"WE WILL CONTINUE TO COOPERATE WITH INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE INSTITUTIONS"

The statement, which reminded that ICC and UN member states must implement the court's decisions, emphasized that communications and meetings with both Netanyahu and Gallant must be halted. The statement noted that "Palestine will continue its cooperation with international justice institutions and courts until all criminals who have committed and are still committing crimes against its people are held accountable before justice."
