Palestinian President Abbas makes 'urgent' call

Despite all reactions, Israel continued its bloody attacks in the Gaza Strip today. Its intense attacks on the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the center of the region and its surroundings today caused the deaths of 210 Palestinians.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called for an "urgent" meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) following the attack.

The statement said, "President Abbas is conducting intensive diplomatic efforts with Arab and international stakeholders for the UNSC to hold an urgent session. The goal is to address Israel's ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and to force the Israeli occupation to comply with international legitimacy resolutions, including those calling for an immediate ceasefire."

"THE BLOODSHED MUST END"

European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell stated in a statement that he "condemned the attack in the strongest possible terms." Reiterating his call for a ceasefire, Borrell said, "The bloodshed must end immediately." Borrell stated that the ceasefire plan presented by US President Joe Biden was "a way forward for a lasting ceasefire and an end to the deaths."

"A RESULT OF THE INACTION OF INTERNATIONAL BODIES"

In a statement issued by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the world's governments and the UN Security Council were held responsible for the attack due to their "inaction." The statement included the following: "These horrific and shocking crimes are a result of the inaction of governments and responsible international bodies, including the UNSC, in the face of the war crimes and violations Israel has committed over the past 8 months."
