Parachutes on aid boxes dropped over Gaza fail to open: Many dead and injured!
It has been reported that many people were killed and injured after parachutes carrying humanitarian aid boxes dropped over the northern Gaza Strip, where Israel continues its attacks, failed to open and fell onto Palestinians waiting in the area.
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense Unit in Gaza, stated in a written statement that the parachutes carrying humanitarian aid boxes dropped by aircraft over the northern Gaza Strip failed to open.
Basal noted that many people were killed and injured as a result of the boxes falling onto a group of Palestinians waiting for aid in the area.
Spokesperson Basal did not provide any information regarding the number of dead and injured or which country the aircraft that dropped the aid belonged to.
In a similar incident that occurred in the Gaza Strip on March 8, 5 Palestinians lost their lives and many others were injured after parachutes carrying humanitarian aid boxes dropped by aircraft failed to open and fell onto those waiting for aid in the area.
