Pentagon issues statement on tensions between Israel and Iran!

US Department of Defense (Pentagon) Press Secretary Brigadier General Patrick Ryder answered questions from journalists regarding recent developments in the Middle East.

In response to a question about the ongoing tension between Iran and Israel in the region and a potential Iranian attack on Israel, Ryder said, "We are certainly monitoring the situation closely, but I don't have a crystal ball and I'm not going to get into specific intelligence."

Stating that the US is in close contact with Israel, Ryder noted that the US commitment to Israel's security against threats from Iran and its proxies is "ironclad."

Ryder shared that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin discussed the situation in the Middle East with his Israeli counterpart Yoav Gallant over the phone, and that US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Michael “Erik” Kurilla has also traveled to Israel to discuss threats related to recent developments.

Israel had carried out an airstrike on the consular building within the Iranian Embassy compound in Damascus on April 1.

In the attack, 7 people, including 2 generals from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, and 6 Syrian citizens lost their lives.
