Poland announces major changes in embassies

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement regarding the initiation of the process to recall ambassadors.

The statement, which notes that Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has decided to recall more than 50 ambassadors, expressed that making the necessary changes will help address the challenges faced in the country's foreign policy in a "better and more professional manner."

The statement did not provide details regarding the ambassadors recalled by Sikorski, nor did it provide information on when appointments would be made to replace them.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated in an interview with the state-owned channel TVP Info that they plan to make comprehensive changes to the country's embassies together with Sikorski.

Stating that they have decided to request permission from President Andrzej Duda to make changes in most of the embassies, Tusk said, "We are currently conducting quite serious work on this matter."

Tusk added, "We need to build and develop a team that is loyal to the Polish state and will carry out our work in all embassies."
