Polish President Andrzej Duda, in a statement to Polsat television regarding comments that Hamas's attack on Israel would have consequences for the entire world, said, ''If I were in their shoes, I wouldn't exaggerate it like that. This is not the first military conflict to occur in the Middle East. We remember that such situations have happened over the last few decades. There have been wars, but none of them led to a world war.''

HE HAD DRAWN ATTENTION TO UKRAINE

In another statement made today, Duda touched upon the effect of Hamas's October 7 attack on Israel in diverting the international community's attention away from the war in Ukraine.

Duda emphasized, "There is no doubt about that. Of course, this is in the favor of Russia and Russia's aggression against Ukraine, as it distracts international attention."

The President stated that Poland must prioritize its own interests above all else, noting that his most important task today is to protect the lives and health of Polish citizens remaining in the war zone and to transport them to Poland by plane. Poland had previously announced that it would evacuate its citizens in Israel using military transport aircraft.
