President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The meeting addressed the Israel-Palestine conflict and efforts to find solutions to the humanitarian crises.
REITERATED REQUEST FOR MEDIATION
During the call, Erdoğan stated that Turkey is making every effort to end the crisis as soon as possible and is ready to take many peaceful steps, including mediation.
Erdoğan said that for a fundamental solution to the problem, it is essential that promises made to Palestine are kept and that the international community leads the way in establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian State with geographical integrity, based on 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital.
