As the primary election calendar for the US presidential elections to be held on November 5 continues, the Democratic Party's primary in South Carolina has concluded as expected.

Biden, who is widely expected to become the Democratic Party's presidential nominee, secured a comfortable victory in South Carolina, receiving 96 percent of the vote.

Another candidate running symbolically against Biden, Marianne Williamson, received 2.1 percent of the vote, while Dean Phillips received 1.7 percent.

The Democrats' next primary will be held in the state of Nevada on February 6.

In the primary calendar, which will continue until June, Democrats and Republicans will hold their primaries on the same day in some states and on different dates in others to determine which of their presidential candidates will qualify for the party's presidential nomination.

In the US, Donald Trump currently stands out as the strongest presidential candidate for the Republican Party, while Joe Biden remains the strongest for the Democratic Party.
