Prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia: 49 Ukrainians released
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announced in a statement that 49 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians have been released as part of a prisoner exchange.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced in a written statement on his Telegram account that another prisoner exchange has been carried out between Russia and Ukraine.
Stating that a total of 49 people, including Ukrainian military personnel and civilians, were brought back to their country as a result of the exchange, Zelenskyy said, "I thank our entire team that ensures the release of prisoners and hostages from Russian captivity."
Zelenskiy emphasized that all Ukrainian prisoners must be brought back home. No statement has been made by Russia regarding the prisoner exchange yet.
