Protesters in Bangladesh return looted items: Cat, pigeon, bed...

In Bangladesh, protesters have begun returning items looted from the residence of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina following months of violent protests.

It has been reported that approximately 500 items have been returned so far, including 120 pieces of furniture, 70 electronic devices, and 150 beds.

The items were brought back after student leaders managing the protests launched a campaign to recover stolen goods and restore the prime minister's looted official residence.

PRIME MINISTER HASINA FLED TO INDIA BY HELICOPTER

Violence continues in Bangladesh; more than 100 people were injured in the capital, Dhaka, on Thursday alone.

The protests had turned into a demand for the resignation of Hasina's government. On August 5, hundreds of protesters stormed the prime minister's home. Prime Minister Hasina fled to India by helicopter.

Demonstrators looted the house, stealing clothes, furniture, refrigerators, laptops, a guitar, and even live and dead goats, chickens, and rabbits.

A PIGEON AND A CAT WERE ALSO RETURNED

One protester who stole and ate a duck paid for it, while another returned jewelry they had taken, including a diamond nose stud and a pendant. A pigeon and a cat were also returned.

Secret defense and security documents that were returned have also been placed under protection by the military in a secure room.

Authorities have set up a counter at the door of the residence for the return of looted items.

Demonstrators are demanding that Hasina be put on trial for the killing of protesters. Criminal complaints have already been filed with the police against her, senior leaders of her party, and high-ranking police officers.
