Putin ratifies strategic partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea

The agreement ratified by Putin, which involves the establishment of a strategic partnership between Russia and North Korea, has been published in the country's legal information system.

The agreement, which envisions the development of relations between the two countries in numerous fields such as defense, agriculture, health, and education, also includes a clause stating that if one of the parties is attacked, the other party will provide military assistance.

According to the agreement, the two countries will also be able to conduct joint military exercises in order to "prevent war and strengthen defense capabilities."

The agreement in question was signed during Putin's visit to North Korea in June, and was subsequently approved by the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, and the Federation Council, the upper house of the parliament.
