Putin: Someone is trying to blow up the TurkStream and Blue Stream natural gas pipelines
Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at a meeting of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in Moscow, said, "We are currently receiving information from our own intelligence. Someone is trying to blow up the TurkStream and Blue Stream natural gas pipelines that run under the Black Sea to Turkey."
Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a meeting of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) held in the capital, Moscow.
While making statements regarding the 4th anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine War, Putin touched upon the attacks carried out on Russian oil pipelines since the date the war began.
The Russian President pointed out that some individuals are preparing a provocation to sabotage the progress made in the negotiation process with Ukraine, and issued warnings regarding the security of the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines, which supply natural gas to Turkey via the Black Sea. Putin stated, "We are currently receiving information from our own intelligence. Someone is trying to blow up the TurkStream and Blue Stream natural gas pipelines that run under the Black Sea to Turkey."
Accusing Ukraine and other countries supporting Ukraine of undermining the negotiation process through the aforementioned statement, Putin said, "They just won't calm down. They don't know how to destroy this peace process that includes a diplomatic solution. They are doing everything they can to undermine the gains achieved in the negotiation process." Arguing that their adversaries continue their efforts to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, Putin said, "They will push this to the limit, but they will not succeed."
Putin also noted that he has given instructions to increase the security of the Russian Ministry of Defense and defense industry personnel, as well as for the protection of Russian borders.
