Question about Qatar-gifted plane infuriates Trump: 'You should get out of here'

US President Donald Trump reacted sharply to a question regarding a Boeing aircraft gifted by Qatar to the US Air Force during his meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. Trump scolded the reporter who asked the question, ordered them out of the room, and leveled harsh criticism at the NBC network and its executives.

Early in the meeting, an NBC reporter brought up the Pentagon's statement that the jet gifted by Qatar could be used as Air Force One and asked Trump about the matter. However, Trump interrupted the reporter, responding angrily: "What are you saying? A Qatari... What? We know... What does this have to do with anything?"

"YOU SHOULD GET OUT OF HERE"

Trump then raised his voice and lashed out at the reporter: "You should get out of here. What does this have to do with a Qatari jet?" Continuing his reaction, Trump also targeted the NBC network:

"This is NBC's attempt to distract from the issue. You are a terrible reporter. You don't have what it takes to be a reporter, you aren't smart enough."

Trump argued that the jet given to the US Air Force was "a very nice thing," noting that Qatar had also made a 5.1 trillion dollar investment. He then invited the reporter to leave the room once more and, pointing to NBC executives, said:

"You should go back to the studio at NBC because the people running it should be investigated. You are a disgrace."
