Question of 'Did the US kill El Mencho' answered

Following the killing of cartel leader Nemesio Oseguera, known as 'El Mencho', the leader of the CJNG, in an operation conducted in Mexico, claims were made that US forces also participated in the operation.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum made a statement regarding the claims in question. Speaking at a press conference held in the capital, Mexico City, Sheinbaum stated that the operations were carried out entirely by Mexican federal forces.

Stating that security units across the country are working in coordination, Sheinbaum said that roadblocks on highways have been removed following the violent incidents and that life has largely returned to normal.

'NO US CONTRIBUTION'

Responding to the question of whether US forces were involved in the operation, Sheinbaum said, "All operations were carried out by federal forces. There is no involvement of United States forces." Oseguera, for whom the US had placed a 15 million dollar bounty, was neutralized in an operation carried out in the state of Jalisco. Following the operation, clashes occurred between cartel members and security forces in some regions.
