Queue at the border: Congestion forms
Trucks arriving from Turkey to cross into Nakhchivan and from there to Iran, Azerbaijan, and Russia have caused congestion at the Dilucu Border Gate.
The queue formed by trucks arriving to cross into neighboring countries for the New Year has exceeded 13 kilometers.
Truck drivers pulled their vehicles to the side of the road to meet their needs and prepare for the long wait ahead.
It is reported that the congestion at the gate, which is experiencing high traffic due to New Year and December exports, is expected to last for approximately 1 week.
"WE ARE WAITING IN LINE TO GO ABROAD"
Truck driver Kahraman Bozkurt said they are waiting in line to go abroad.
Explaining that they are parking their trucks on the side of the road to meet their needs because there is no parking area, Bozkurt said, "It is unclear how many days it will take for us to reach customs. I have been on the road for days. We are currently parked at the 13th kilometer; we don't know if we will arrive in a week. We will cross into Azerbaijan and then to Iran from there."
"WE WILL WAIT FOR DAYS"
Another driver, Serhat Boz, stated that they would be waiting in the queue for days, saying, "We will go to Azerbaijan first, and from there to Iran and Russia. There is a queue of about 13-14 kilometers. Depending on how the customs office operates, we might reach it in a week, maybe 10 days."

Iranian driver Saed Mahmudi also stated that he picked up a load in Istanbul and set off for Iran, adding, "We are currently 13 kilometers away. We don't know when we will cross. Maybe we will cross in 4 days, maybe 5 days. We have our cabinets, we have our food."
