Raid on group planning a coup in Kyrgyzstan
In a raid conducted on the addresses of group members detained in Kyrgyzstan on suspicion of attempting a coup, 255 thousand 238 rounds of ammunition and a military ID card belonging to a member of parliament were seized.
A raid was carried out today on the addresses of individuals who were preparing to seize power through violence in Kyrgyzstan and were detained yesterday.
In a statement regarding the details of the raids, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan stated that 50 rifles, 20 pistols, 255 thousand 238 rounds of ammunition, 200 law enforcement uniforms, 150 police caps, 100 military caps, 38 bulletproof vests, 2 drones, and improvised explosive devices were seized during the searches of the addresses of the subversive group members who planned to seize power through violence.

The statement also reported that a military ID card belonging to Member of Parliament Marlen Mamatkanov was found during the search operations.

In a statement yesterday, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan announced that "the activities of a subversive group planning to seize power through violence by organizing mass events that would lead to the deaths of citizens and to destabilize the social and political situation in the country have been thwarted."
