The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted to the missile attack carried out by Iran on the US-owned Al-Udeid Air Base in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
The Ministry stated that it is following the "dangerous and accelerating escalation in the region with deep concern," adding, "Given the serious risks this development poses to the security and stability of the entire region, it is a development that Iraq has long opposed."
Stating that the tension in the Middle East following the latest attack "represents a dangerous and unprecedented turning point," the Ministry warned that it has increased fears of an "expansion of the conflict" that has been ongoing between Iran and Israel since June 13.
