Red Cross announces international medical team has reached Gaza
The International Committee of the Red Cross has reported that an international medical team has entered the Gaza Strip, which is under intense bombardment and blockade by Israel. It was also reported that 6 trucks delivered to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza contained water, food, and medicine.
In a written statement, the Red Cross Committee stated, "A medical team of 10 people from the International Committee of the Red Cross, specializing in emergency war surgery and weapon-related (environmental) contamination, has reached the Gaza Strip."
The statement noted that 6 of the 10 trucks carrying humanitarian and medical aid that entered through the Rafah Border Crossing today were delivered to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza.
NUMBER OF AID TRUCKS REACHING THE REGION HAS REACHED 84
Wael Abu Mohsen, Director of the Rafah Border Crossing Press Office, stated in his remarks to an AA reporter that a foreign medical team consisting of 10 doctors from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and Switzerland had entered Gaza.
Abu Mohsen conveyed that the 6 trucks delivered to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza contained water, food, and medicine.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society announced in a statement today that 10 trucks carrying humanitarian aid had entered through the Rafah Border Crossing and reached Gaza, and that 6 of them had been delivered to the Red Cross Committee. Emphasizing that fuel is still not permitted to enter Gaza, the Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that the total number of aid trucks reaching the region has reached 84.
It is noted that the aid trucks that have entered the Gaza Strip, which has been under intense bombardment and blockade by Israel since October 7, represent "a drop in the ocean" compared to the necessary needs.
