Adidas, which removed Palestinian-origin model Bella Hadid from an advertising campaign following backlash from Israel, has apologized to the famous model.

The world-renowned German sportswear brand Adidas featured the famous Palestinian-origin model Bella Hadid in its advertising campaign. Supporters of Israel boycotted Adidas.

In a statement posted on the official X account of the Israeli Embassy in Germany, it was stated, "Guess who the face of the campaign is? Bella Hadid, a model of Palestinian origin who has a history of spreading antisemitism and calling for violence against Israelis and Jews."

Following the boycott decision by supporters of Israel, Adidas removed Bella Hadid from the advertising campaign and apologized to the famous model.

In the apology message released by Adidas following the criticism, it was stated, "We are conscious that connections have been made to tragic historical events—though these are completely unintentional—and we apologize for any upset or distress caused. As a result, we are revising the remainder of the campaign."

While it has been reported that Hadid is considering legal action against the brand for pulling her from the campaign, Adidas included the following in its updated message: "We also apologize to our partners, Bella Hadid, ASAP Nast, Jules Koundé, and others, for any negative impact on them and we are revising the campaign."
