According to information received from officials, Israeli authorities requested to use Turkish airspace for the plane of Herzog, who was set to attend the 29th United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference (COP29) held in Baku.
Turkish officials denied the application made by Israeli authorities.
Reports had appeared in the Israeli press stating that Herzog canceled his visit to Azerbaijan due to "security concerns".
