Retaliation from Iran against US targets in Kuwait
The Revolutionary Guards announced that radar systems, weapons depots, and missile launchers in Kuwait were targeted in response to US attacks.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced that certain US military sites in Kuwait have been targeted. The statement indicated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for US actions targeting civilian sites in Iran.
In the statement released by the Revolutionary Guards, it was argued that the US resumed its attacks during a period when negotiations were ongoing, based on a false assessment that "Iran has weakened." The statement alleged that telecommunications and railway workers, as well as vehicles in traffic, were targeted, and that many civilians lost their lives in these attacks.
According to the statement, the retaliation was carried out as part of the 12th wave of "Operation Nasr-2." It was noted that a missile defense detection and early warning radar, weapons depots, a surface-to-surface missile launch ramp, and numerous spare missiles belonging to these systems in Kuwait were targeted.
The Revolutionary Guard Corps also warned that retaliatory operations against the US would continue. No details verified by independent sources regarding the results of the attacks were shared in the statement.
