Max Lesser, an analyst at the FDD's Emerging Threats Project, stated that these companies offered fake job opportunities to artificial intelligence experts and public officials. The research noted that suspicious activities by four consulting firms were identified. It was understood that these firms utilized the infrastructure of a company named 'Semiao Intelligence.' However, the nature of this connection remains unclear.

Lesser pointed out that this operation aligns with known methods of Chinese intelligence. The analyst stated that 'the vulnerable situation of former public employees experiencing economic hardship is being exploited.'

According to the Reuters report, evidence shows that these companies use the same servers and similar web infrastructure. In some cases, it was determined that IP addresses were shared. Reuters stated that attempts to reach company officials were unsuccessful. It was found that the registered addresses were not real and the contact information was invalid. It was noted that the job postings published on LinkedIn have been removed.

The connection of these companies to the Chinese government and the veracity of the recruitment allegations could not be confirmed. No statement has been issued by official authorities regarding the matter.

Experts emphasize that similar cases have occurred in the past and that these methods are frequently used in intelligence activities. It is noted that the issue has a national security dimension.
